Wild Things

We had to be very professional. It was us sitting down and saying, “What are you comfortable with? What are you not comfortable with? What are your boundaries? – Neve.

The movie falls into a drama/mystery/crime category, while the actresses – Neve Campbell and Denise Richards fall into 90’s wet dreams category. As a girl, back in the 90’s, I loved Neve so much, that I thought her name was one of the most beautiful female names and her haircut was flawless. I was sexually attracted to Neve Campbell but didn’t realize it at the time. I re-watched Wild Things 10 years later and it hit me – she’s still flawless as an icon of her time. And I’m still attracted to her…

Wild Things trailer that I’ve made is not the representation of the movie itself. It’s an alternate universe where the ending and the relationships between the characters are very different. I’ve removed the guy from the famous threesome scene and turned the girls into lesbians – so yes, it’s a typical femslash

Personal quotes:

When I look back on it now, I am so glad that the one thing that I had in my life was my belief that everything in life is a learning experience, whether it be positive or negative. If you can see it as a learning experience, you can turn any negative into a positive.

Every single comic, every single book is made into a film. Do you know an author pitching a book nowadays is asked to consider whether there’s a possibility of making a film from it? So films are even limiting the kinds of books we’ll be able to read.

Interesting facts about Neve:

  • Her first name, Neve, is her mother’s maiden name. It is a name first used by her ancestors, Sephardi Jews who emigrated to the Netherlands.
  • Voted No.3 in Empire (UK) magazine’s 100 Sexiest Movie Stars of 1998. [October 1998]
  • Once auditioned for Baywatch (1989). The casting director turned her down because he thought she was too pale.
  • Has a “no nudity” clause in her contract. But, she lifted it for her role in the film, When Will I Be Loved (2004), her first movie showing her completely nude. She also appeared nude in I Really Hate My Job (2007). [imdb.com]
